Eurostar Global completes first year Mentor Program 19/10/2018
As part of Eurostar’s CSR activities in the local community, Catherine Franklin (Head of HR) mentors students at a nearby school as part of the Career Ready Mentoring Programme. The aim of the scheme is to help young people understand more about the world of work, consider what career they might like to pursue in the future and appreciate what attitudes and skills they will need to gain employment.
The programme runs for a year with each set of students, and after the final session was held at the Stoke City Bet365 Stadium today, Catherine described the experience;
“From certificates and communication to trophies, tours & team talks, we had a great time with the Clayton Hall students today. Special thanks go to Carl Inskip (SCFC Community Trust) for organising the tour – it was fabulous!
Congratulations again to Robert Mitchell who I presented with the Eurostar Best Attendance Award & Gift for his commitment and contribution to the sessions - he has been most impressive.
I’m extremely lucky to work for a Company that supports programs to benefit local, young people as they are the workforce of the future. The Career Ready Mentor Scheme is such a great initiative and it’s been a real privilege to work with the students and be a part of the program. I wish them all the very best for their futures and look forward to meeting the new set of students for the next program!”
